Changes to Property Protector Select
With effect from 1st November 2022, our successful Property Protector Select scheme will be changing underwriters from Ageas to Axa following Ageas selling the commercial book to Axa and all business is migrating over.
The good news is that we can offer you the same comprehensive policy as before with only minor changes.
These changes include:
· Commercial policies will now have to disclose the required loss of rent figure and limit of indemnity required as there is no standard cover provided.
· New business quotes with an effective date from 1st November 2022 will be issued on AXA documentation.
· Renewals effective from 1st November 2022 are being issued on Axa documentation.
There will be a notice to policyholders, policy summary and policy wording that you must forward to your clients.
Headline covers include:
· Accidental Damage
· Subsidence Cover automatically included
· Loss of rent cover automatically cover up to 30%, over 12, 24 or 36 months (residential only), commercial will have to specify sum insured and indemnity period
· £5m Property owners liability cover
· Lock/Key replacement £5,000 (any one loss)
· Malicious damage & theft by tenant included.
· Contract works cover.
· 90 days unoccupied cover for residential property.
· Optional Directors and Officers extension
· Exclusive features outside of the open market
· 60 days unoccupied on commercial property (usually 30 days)
· £50,000 Trace and access
· Illegal cultivation of drugs cover (residential properties)
· £2m/20% Capital additions
